Luca Pruitt (they/them), MSW

I’m a Neuroqueer, Nonbinary, and Trans individual offering queer and gender affirming psychotherapy to clients across the state of Michigan. I am AuDHD (Autistic and have ADHD) and enjoy working with neurodivergence. It is an honor to embody and provide space and empathy for my clients.

  • I utilize a holistic and active interpersonal approach to therapy. I am a trauma-informed clinician and enjoy engaging in cognitive-behavioral questioning and thinking. I focus on your personhood, knowing that every layer of you and your experience holds an integral lens of getting to know yourself better.

In order to embody ourselves more holistically, we need to be given space to explore, question, challenge, feel and express emotions, and maybe swear a little (or a lot).

Together, we’ll learn to celebrate and integrate the pieces of self that have been disconnected, dissociated, or unwelcomed. I’ll help you reconnect with yourself and find ways to thrive.

  • I work primarily with individual adult clients. I have limited availability for clients ages 13-17. Get in touch to learn more.

  • “There is so much kindness in consistently asking, ‘Who are you now?’ There is so much love in allowing people to be continually new to us. To love someone isn’t so much to know them, as it is to know their never-ending becoming.”

    — Andrea Gibson

  • "A tree that fills a man’s embrace grows from a seedling. A tower nine stories high starts with one brick. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

  • “I want to learn how to hold the paradoxical poles of my identity together, to embrace the profoundly opposite truths that my sense of self is deeply dependent on others dancing with me and that I still have a sense of self when no one wants to dance.”
